The Art of Welldoing

Follow your heart.

The ultimate biohack.

How to improve your resilience.*

Our heart rate is always changing. Unfortunately, it’s often chaotic like the chart below.

This often arises when we’re not feeling great - at times of stress, anxiety or feeling overwhelmed. That’s why we pick up your pulse by analysing the colour change in your finger when your heart beats.

Our BreatheSync® biofeedback technology then creates your own personalised breathing rhythm driven by your heart rhythm.

When you are in flow - an optimal state when performing at our best or in deep meditation - our heart rhythm takes on a more flowing and smooth state.

This also happens when you bring your breathing and heart rhythms into sync with Do Breathe. When you breathe in, your heart rate rises, when you breathe out, your heart rate falls.

You can see what this effect looks like in the graph below.

Regular use will improve your resilience and make you more able to cope with the challenges and demands of everyday life.

As you Do Breathe, you are learning to rapidly control your emotional state by bringing your inner systems into balance and coherence. With less cortisol, the stress inducing hormone, and more DHEA, the vitality hormone, you will feel more positive emotional states, as shown below.

*A 'Welldoing Report' analysing your resilience whilst using Do Breathe is in the pipeline.

3 things to note

1. Your heart has a rhythm - it’s called Heart Rate Variability (HRV).
2. Smooth HRV is better than chaotic HRV.
3. Breathing makes both your body and mind feel better.

Why not try this now?

  • Try breathing with your Do Breathe app for 3 mins. (You can change the duration in the app settings.)

  • Put your headphones on.

  • Notice how you feel immediately and 10-15 minutes afterwards. This is when we usually observe the biggest improvements in your mental and physical state.
