How are you breathing now?
Through your mouth or nose? Belly or chest? Fast or slow? Smoothly or randomly?
The first step in mastering your breath is to pay attention to it. Notice it more.
It reveals a lot about your present state of mind and body. Many of us have developed unhealthy breathing habits, like breathing too fast, breathing in more than we breathe out, breathing shallowly from the chest, you get the idea.
We hold our breaths at moments of concentration, or fear, or excitement. Maybe you’re even holding your breath now, reading this?

Breathe like a baby.
The basic breathing technique I will share below is really just your natural breath. Our guru is a baby. Because each of us is born with the innate ability to breathe well, to cope and to recover well. We just lose our connection to our breath and hopefully you are now on your way to changing that.
When you breathe like a baby, you breathe from the belly. Its much more efficient - some say we get 20% more energy this way.
When you breathe like a baby, you breathe in and out through the nose. Your nose is designed for breathing, with little hairs filtering the air, and a chamber behind making the air the right temperature for the lungs.
If you breathe like this slowly and deeply, you will feel great fast.

"If I had to limit my advice on healthier living to just one tip, it would be simply to learn how to breathe correctly."
